With heavy hearts the Orillia & District Agricultural Society Board of Directors announces the cancellation of the 2020 Orillia Fall Fair which was scheduled to be held September 11-13, 2020. It should have been a banner year for us as we celebrate our 170th year.
This decision was made using information currently available from our Province. The safety and well-being of our community, our visitors, vendors, exhibitors, and our volunteers is at the forefront of this heartbreaking decision.
The Orillia Fall Fair loves bringing our community together to celebrate and promote agriculture. We will be working on ways to continue to do so outside of the annual fair environment. We encourage you to watch our social media to stay up to date.
We would like to thank our volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, and vendors who have supported us over the past 169 years, and we can't wait to see you for next year's fair on September 10-12, 2021.
Chad Cooke, President
The Board of Directors of Orillia & District Agricultural Society is very sad to share the news of the passing of Alice Stamper. Alice has been a fixture and volunteer EXTRAORDINAIRE in our organization and manager of The Rollerskating Place for a long time, as well as with the Girl Guides, St Lukes Church, Canadian Cancer Society , Women's Institute, and OSMH.
She was the recipient of the Order of Orillia in September 2018.
Hardly anyone in our area doesn't know who Alice is. She has touched many lives.
We have all lost a spitfire and firecracker.
MARCH 14....In an effort to be respectful to the health of our patrons and vendors, the Market will be closed while public schools are closed. We hope to reopen April 4th, but stay tuned!
